Introduction

Why of all things, make videos?
I have always loved the amount of emotion a simple video can inflict to a viewer. Meaningful short films are often sources of inspiration and motivation for myself. Short clips have the power to rekindle an exhausted passion, or relive a specific moment. I also do basic motion graphics, which i believe enhances an otherwise normal video.
My YouTube channel is mainly a digital logbook of all my past work which I keep there forever for others to enjoy. |
The Journal

My first short film
This short film was completed within an extremely tight time frame since it was part of an assignment for my Media 3 unit during my time in Taylors College Perth.
Our team worked dynamically to produce this original film from scratch. I had dynamic roles in this film which ranged from the videographer to the editor. All soundtracks in this film are composed and recorded my one of my group mates. |
Taylors College Perth TV News
|
My first TV newscast video
This TV newscast video was a revived trend from previous students. It was revived with the arrival of better equipment being included in the college's arsenal.
It is voluntarily done by students for students, hence I volunteered to edit this newscast video and it was an enriching experience for me. I completed this project within one weekend so that it could be screened to newly enrolled students during orientation. |
Animation Introduction
|
An animation experiment
So my friend Natalie is an amazing pianist (trust me), and she makes AMAZING covers of Korean OSTs.
After a few months of inactivity, she decided to revive her channel and give it a facelift, so this was a simple introduction I made for her. Check out her channel HERE ! :) |
Time Lapse Series | Bridge I
|
First attempt at time-lapsing
I've always wanted to create this effect for a few years, but it was the moment when I actually learned that the secret to this effect. This video actually consists of multiple 2 second exposure pictures played together in high speed, and not a long video fast forwarded as I once thought.
The end result is quite magical, I must say. The secret was a camera remote set to take 2 second exposure shots for 10 minutes. |
Time Lapse Series | Bridge II
|
Second attempt at time-lapsing
After the first attempt, I basically went to the other side of the bridge, and started filming on the other side for a similar mesmerising effect.
This one has more focus on the cars, and lacks details from the sky when compared to the first attempt. |
Time Lapse Series | Fed Square
|
Third attempt at time-lapsing
I got bored of the bridge (and it was getting too dark and cold), so I went to Melbourne's Federation Square!
Lighting was decent, but struggled to find a good spot to film this. The best place I could manage was this view. Thought that the height would help give an "overlooking" feel to the audience. |
Time Lapse Series | Busy Walkway
|
Fourth attempt at time-lapsing
So after all those cool shots, I decided to chill around the city, and I was curious what would happen if I just set up my camera right smack in the middle of a busy walkway.
The final product was quite cool too! The only payment I had to give was the countless weird stares, and Melbourne's chilly weather. |
Time Lapse Series | Walking
|
Fifth attempt at time-lapsing
On the way back, I was curious what if I left my camera on and started filming while walking?
Final product was quite dizzy, but definitely something to be done again. Maybe using a flycam stabiliser? Either ways, every take is an experiment for me, the more I do, the more I learn and discover! :) |
Time Lapse Series | Glenferrie Road
|
Sixth attempt at time-lapsing
After a long day, I headed home, and with this newly acquired knowledge about time-lapsing, I decided to try it out one more time along the road just outside of where I live.
This is by far the best clip I've taken the whole day. Only thing was that the wind was kidna strong, so the camera shaked quite a bit. Could've added some stabilisation but meh. |
